International Challenge Cup Results

A wonderful day weather wise where 14 teams all arrived at the course in plenty of time apart from the two no-shows who disappointed their teams terribly. One can only wonder at what disaster was the cause of them letting down their mates. I am sure we will find out soon enough. All teams were on their relevant tee box in plenty of time for the 0845 tee-off and even though there were 14 teams on only a 9 hole course play flowed nice and evenly for the round with hardly any hold-ups.

As with previous years it was very close as is to be expected in this type of event and we all know that you need to get birdies and pars to have a chance and the two top teams did exactly that. After previous years events it was decided to allow members to choose their own teams regardless of handicap and introduce a 15% of total teams handicaps to make it fairer for the higher handicapped teams. It is interesting to note that the team with the second highest and the second lowest handicaps were the winners, what happened to the highest and lowest handicaps?
